Not only do we have an excellent core group, but we also have developed relationships with other designers, programmers and consultants in the industry that we are able to pull in for projects when needed. This gives our company great versatility as to what we can produce - no matter the project scope or size. You can read more about some of our key team members below.
Chad Freeman
Partner, Account Executive, People Person, Prankster more...
Founded Joppa Design in April of 2003
To say that Chad is a “people person” is an understatement. Chad loves the communication side of a project and spends quite a bit of his time responding to e-mail’s, phone calls and mixing in some design work as needed. As an experienced graphic designer, he can deliver a design or communicate with a client knowing all aspects of the project from point A to Z. Chad is skilled in website production and makes sure all of our website’s function properly and are up to spec. Charged as our main “New Business” contact, Chad takes the first steps in getting to know our clients.
Chad has had years of experience producing literally hundreds of websites. He was an integral part of Amarillo’s largest advertising agency, taking their Internet department to the next level. Along with those years at the agency, Chad has acquired over 9 years of Internet experience. Chad graduated from South Plains Jr. College with an associate degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Design in 1996.
Chad loves to golf, play with his kids and just make people laugh. He also enjoys doing fine art and giving the weekly announcements at church.
Jerry Bergeron
Partner, Designer, Creative Director, Detail Freak more...
Founded Joppa Design in April of 2003
Jerry’s attention to detail is obvious in the designs that come through
Joppa’s doors. With a passion for quality, he helps the team focus
on delivering a complete package, no matter what the project. While wearing
several hats, you can find Jerry designing a website, collaborating on the
concept and development of a job, creating some HTML, working up a business
card, reviewing project hours in QuickBooks to prepare for invoicing, or
working on some Joppa promotion.
Jerry has been in the advertising and graphic design industry over 20 years.
He spent 14 years as an art director at a leading advertising agency in
Amarillo (McCormick Company), 7 of those years creating and managing their
web department. Since Joppa’s birth in 2003, Jerry has been focusing
on Internet Design. His strong background in print produces attractive,
well-balanced sites that stand out from the “other” sites. Jerry
attended art classes at a leading art college in Sioux Falls, SD in ’85
and then received an associate’s degree in advertising design in 1988.
Jerry enjoys fine art (creating and viewing), music, movies and spending
time with his family (not necessarily on long road trips in the family van).
He also enjoys "mixing sound" at his church from time to time.
Jerry is a past president and an active member of the Amarillo Advertising
Federation.

J Sanders
Web & Design Consultant, Tree Hugger more...
Team Member since 2008 (& a worthy stint in 2006)
J brings a unique combination of skills to Joppa Design as well as 9 years of design experience. After starting college as a programmer she soon found graphic design and fell in love with it. Designing is a way for her to use her natural organizing ability and analytical mind while being creative, and still be a computer geek. Web design and development was a natural step for her to take. She graduated with her bachelors form The Art Institute of Portland in Oregon. While she attended school, she worked as a bookkeeper and office assistant where she came to understand and love systems and processes of software and office flow.
She’s traveled much of the US and has lived in a variety of places. Her work experience includes being self-employed, working for small family businesses, designing for large corporations and for several Texas universities.
When she’s not working, she’s organizing artists for exhibitions, painting, spending time with dear friends, hanging out with her daughter, taking road trips and brewing Kombucha in her closet.
Crystal Freeman
Bookkeeper, Joppa Cheerleader & Enthusiast more...
Supporter since 2003 & Team Member since 2007
Being the wife of one of the owners, Crystal has a passion for keeping Joppa in proper working order. She brings to the table much enthusiasm, dedication and a desire to excel. Crystal spends her time at Joppa deeply entrenched in the inner workings of QuickBooks, making sure employees are paid and clients are “in the know” regarding their billing status.
After attending Texas A&M (whoop!) and graduating from West Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, she spent numerous years working in the “animal industry” as a veterinarian technician and later, a microbiologist. While she very much enjoyed the day to day growing and identification of bacteria (gross!), Crystal left the corporate world in 2004 to stay at home and raise 2 beautiful little girls (bacteria is still a day to day occurrence.) In her spare time, Crystal likes to...... wait! She has no spare time.
